The 2006 season brought a significant change for youth baseball players across the country.

Little League Baseball adopted new age guidelines beginning in the 2006 season. These guidelines were adopted after a four year study, with the intent of placing players in the appropriate age group based on their age during the upcoming season. In the past, play was governed by an August 1st birthdate. That date has now been changed to May 1st. The impact on our program consists in how our leagues are organized. The August 1st date created a situation where leagues were organized consistent with a players grade in school. There will now be situations where players born between May 1st and July 31st will not be playing with their classmates. It may also be possible for certain players to be playing a third year in the same league.

PLEASE NOTE:
The ESAA board has agreed to give parents the option to choose whether to keep a player in the prescribed level OR "play-up" to a new level. If you have a player that falls into this exception you will be prompted to select which level you would like your player to be in.
